Peanuts in Shell
Whole peanuts still in their shells, grown in Australia, for cracking open at the footy or around the table.
Half the fun is the cracking. Press the shell until it snaps, and inside are usually two peanuts in thin, papery skins, with a mild, earthy flavour and a firm bite. Shelling slows everyone down, which is no bad thing.
Tip a pile into a big bowl, with a second bowl for the shells, and put it in the middle of the table for a long lunch. Throw a packet in the beach bag, or keep them handy for a movie night on the couch.
Grown in Australia and packed fresh in Melbourne by a family that has been packing nuts since 1975.
